Mr. Millican
Mr. Millican is starting his second year as an English teacher at Harlem High. Before coming to Harlem, he was an English teacher in the state of Alabama for 11 years. In 2019, he was named the teacher of the year for the Randolph County school system. He holds a B.A. in English from Jacksonville State University and an M.Ed. in secondary education from the University of Phoenix. Mr. Millican will be teaching multicultural literature, English 10, and journalism for the 2024-25 academic school year. He is married to Laurissa Jones Millican (Evans High School c/o 2000). The two of them have a ten-year-old daughter, and they have full custody of their 18-year-old nephew (Harlem c/o 2024). He and his family moved to Georgia during the summer of 2023. He says his first year at Harlem was an excellent one, and he is looking forward to a new school year with more opportunities to teach, encourage, and inspire the youth of today.
